The biggest update we've had for a long time! BitNinja version 3.0.0 is now available!
Most systems will automatically update, if you have specific settings or applications preventing automatic updates, you can follow our documentation on how to proceed to have the latest version installed.
Here's what's changed:
Complete overhaul of the messaging infrastructure.- We have reworked the agent's communication with our API. This ensures we are able to receive real-time status about a command sent to any of the agents.
Commands received from the cloud are now real-time.- This results in faster command execution, and broadcasts.
Why is this such a big deal? The new messaging infrastructure allows us to have real-time status updates on our dashboard, while also providing a significant performance boost at the same time.
Sadly, with this update, we are also stopping the support of a few older systems. (They will still be able to install BitNinja, however only the latest supported version without the new communication which is 2.39.1) The distributions in question:
- RHEL6
- CentOS 6.x
- CloudLinux 6.x
- Debian 7
- Ubuntu 14-15
The new agent versions (3.0.0) introduced a brand new messaging infrastructure, allowing us to send and receive real-time updates and commands to and from the agent.
