The latest BitNinja 3.12.12 release delivers key updates designed to bolster server protection and reliability. With improvements to bot detection, SSL handling, and request filtering mechanisms, this version enhances both security and system resilience.
We’ve introduced a new rule that targets scraper bots triggering numerous 404 status codes. These types of requests are often linked to automated scanning tools searching for vulnerabilities. By blocking such bots proactively, the system can reduce unnecessary load and improve the overall efficiency of server-side traffic handling. The rule is enabled by default, strengthening your defenses out of the box.
An exception issue was resolved in the SSLTerminating module. This fix improves system stability during secure traffic processing, ensuring smoother SSL terminations without interruption.
The BIC challenge feature has been removed from the CaptchaHTTP module. This simplification helps reduce complexity in the CAPTCHA flow, streamlining user interactions without compromising security levels.
The response body size limit has been increased to 50 MB. This change allows WAF Pro to handle larger payloads, making it more compatible with modern web applications that return substantial data in a single response.
