Faster malware scanning, stability improvements, security updates, and bug fixes in a single package! All this, and even more in our new BitNinja version (V3.5.1 and 3.5.2)

Most systems will automatically update, if you have specific settings or applications preventing automatic updates, you can follow our documentation on how to proceed to have the latest version installed.

Here's what all the fuss is about:

• Fixed a bug that caused the Malware Scanner to scan excluded directories.
  • Yikes! This resulted in a much faster malware scanner in most cases!

• The honeypotify config option now works properly.
  • Previously it did not always create the desired honeypots, now it does!

• Fixed a bug that resulted in our filesystem monitor starting after a module reload despite being disabled.
  • Not ideal, so we made sure it only starts when we tell it to!

• Updated NGINX from version 1.15.6 to 1.23.3.
  • The newer version offers more stability and security at the same time.

• Global allowlist is now stronger than the user-level blocklist.
  • As our global allow list is a curated list maintained by us, this helps us avoid edge-case scenarios.

• Updated ModSecurity from 3.0.3 to 3.0.8.
  • Just a small version bump.

• Fixed a bug where the Config Parser module did not parse the configs properly on Enhance servers after a reload.
  • These pesky reloads again!

• Post-detection scripts now receive the correct path.
  • Previously they would sometimes receive the quarantined path instead.

• Fixed memory issues with ConfigParser module.
  • Less memory usage is always good!

The newest BitNinja versions (V3.5.1 and 3.5.2) brought a faster malware scanner, stability and security improvements alongside with bugfixes!
