Release Note – New Agent version (V2.36.1)

Could it be... a new release already? Yes, yes it is! The newest release is now live!

Most systems will automatically update, if you have specific settings or applications preventing automatic updates, you can follow our documentation on how to proceed to have the latest version installed.

Details of the update are here:

  • Removed the "clean file" option from malware detection's configuration file.
    • We have removed this option to unify our configuration files for a better user experience. The "quarantine" option now controls both the cleaning and quarantining of a malicious file.

  • Implemented the same config layout for the SqlScanner module's configuration file.
    • Unified configuration schemas for the win!

  • From now on, Analog cache files will be ignored by the agent.
    • Scanning these files would be a waste of resources, so BitNinja's agent will automatically skip these files when detected.

  • The WAF module now does an external test to check if it works properly.
    • For your convenience, when you toggle the WAF Module On, we will automatically test it for you, to ensure everything is up and running!

This update added a feature to automatically test the WAF Module, added some performance improvements, and unified some configuration files to make them more understandable and streamlined.
