It's release day once again, and our newest version of BitNinja is now available.

Most systems will automatically update, if you have specific settings or applications preventing automatic updates, you can follow our documentation on how to proceed to have the latest version installed.

Here is the nitty-gritty about the changes:

• The SQLScanner module now starts a full database scan automatically when enabled.
  • The module will still only generate log-only incidents, as we are preparing for the full rollout of this module.

• Added help text to SQLScanner CLI commands
  • Helps you have a better experience when using our CLI.

• Added JavaScript Sandboxing to SandboxScanner. It can be used with the bitninjacli --module=SandboxScanner --analyze-file=/path/to/file command, but it also runs automatically if the module is enabled.
  • To further improve our malware capabilities, we have included the ability to sandbox JavaScript files, so BitNinja can analyze the file's behaviour to determine its intentions.

• JavaScript files have been added to the filesystem cache.
  • This improves speed and efficiency.

• Removed two deprecated config options from Malware Detection's configuration file.
  • As our malware engine evolves, so do the configuration files related to it.

This update was mostly preparation for an upcoming bigger feature-packed update, while also aiming to improve the stability and speed of our Agent.
